The Poor Image - Project 1: Final Product

For my project, I drew inspiration from David Horvitz's Mood Disorder picture, where the "depressive" body language in his photo was desired by many to be used around the internet, spreading like wild fire. I also decided to change the image that I was using to a photo of myself, allowing me to better display the change in quality as the image was continuously shared around my friends and trusted acquaintances. I wanted to demonstrate how the quality of the image changes when it is shared again and again around the internet, becoming lower and lower quality while still recognizable from the original photo. When re-sharing any form of media to anyone, the quality slowly deteriorates and despite the progressive poor quality of the images, I have found the low resolution does not affect the magic or impressiveness of the photograph, but rather simply make it look older; like a memory brought to life in digital form.
